Everyone's Irish at ShamrockFest

Drink up, Irish-style

The snow is finally melting and March is finally here. With the official start of spring still a few weeks away there's one huge event hitting the D.C. area to take your mind off your winter blues.

ShamrockFest is March 13 at  RFK Stadium. It's the perfect way to celebrate in the St. Patty's spirit with 40,000 of your closest friends. In its tenth year, ShamrockFest will include more than 40 national and regional acts on 10 stages playing Irish Punk, Celtic Rock, Folk and of course your party bands.

Some of the headliners include The Roots, Train, LMFAO and Carbon Leaf... and local favorites Mr. Greengenes and Charm City Saints.

Along with the music there will of course be beer (it is an Irish-themed event). Last year the weather was a little rainy, but that just makes it more authentic right? There will also be college hoops on big screen TVs, carnival rides, games and 'authentic' Irish and local crafts.

Tickets are available on the event's site, but order soon before ticket prices increase on March 3. Regular tickets are currently going for $24.99 and VIP passes (which come with all the beer you can drink (responsibly)) for $69.99.
