Susan E. Goff of Richmond will be ordained as the bishop suffragan of Virginia at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Church in Richmond. She will serve as one of two assistant bishops.

Goff has served as priest at St. John's Church in Tappahannock for 32 years. She will be the Episcopal Church's 19th female bishop.

Goff tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch that becoming a being is a huge responsibility and a great privilege.

She says she plans to focus on outreach to congregations that consist of Latinos, Asians and other people of color.
