Elkridge Man Pleads Guilty in Baby Daughter's Death

An Elkridge, Md., man faces a possible 20-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the shaking death of his six-week-old daughter.

Aron Krampf, 27, entered the plea Tuesday in Howard County Circuit Court in Ellicott City, reported WBFF-TV. Sentencing is set for July 24.

His daughter Aubrey was taken to Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital on the afternoon of Sept. 10 because she was unconscious not breathing.

Krampf was arrested that night and initially charged with first- and second-degree assault, child abuse and reckless endangerment. The baby died the following morning, and the charges against Kramf were revised.

Police believe Krampf shook the girl to stop her from crying. Authorities say she suffered brain hemorrhaging and fractures throughout her body.
