8 Kids Taken From Mothers After Toddler Found Wandering Naked

A WaWa employee found the little girl in the store's parking lot

Eight children were taken by Child Protective Services after a two-year-old was found wandering in Spotsylvania, Va.

The toddler and seven other children, ranging in age from seven months to 16 years, were turned over to their grandmothers.

On Sunday, a WaWa employee found the little girl in the convenience store's parking lot. She brought her inside and clothed her while waiting for police. The little girl was able to point out her home to a deputy, who found rotten food around the kitchen and animal waste throughout the home.

Crystal Dawn Craig, 29, and Amy Elizabeth Lam, 38, have been charged with one counts of felony child neglect for each of their children. Craig is the mother of three of the children; Lam is the mother of the other five.

Lam has also been charged with failure to maintain her premises in a sanitary condition and failure to provide food and water to pets.

Animal Control took custody of four dogs, three puppies and two kittens that were found in the home.

Both women were held in jail without bond.
