Metro approved a measure that gives a developer freedom to aggressively pursue FBI headquarters near the Greenbelt Metro Station.

Metro has about 80 acres of land in Greenbelt that it says could benefit from a federal agency relocating there.

No firm decision has been made about moving the FBI anywhere yet.

Leaders in D.C. and Virginia say they are also putting proposals together for a new FBI headquarters.
