Dulles Metro Project Could Mean Route 7 Delays

Trucks traveling to area midday Wednesday

Traffic could be delayed in Fairfax County, Va., Wednesday because of Dulles Metro Project work.

Tuesday, trucks took massive pieces of equipment to just west of Tysons Corner for the construction of a power substation. That caused delays in the area.

Wednesday, trucks from Winchester will travel along Route 7 and arrive at Chathams Ford Drive along the Dulles Toll Road about 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. In areas where the road isn’t wide enough for multiple vehicles, rolling blockades will be implemented.

Trucks will access Chathams Ford Drive from Beulah Road.
