Good news for people who take the Rock Creek Parkway from upper Northwest.
Motorists are now able to access southbound Rock Creek Parkway from Cathedral Avenue - at least during the morning rush hour.
From 7 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., Cathedral Avenue will open to southbound traffic at Woodley Road. At all other times, traffic will run one-way to the north.
Ongoing construction had closed the Cathedral Ave entry point. Before today, drivers trying to pick up the Parkway had to go to the Shoreham Drive ramp.
