The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating a purse snatching that occurred Wednesday evening in the parking lot of the Dulles Crossing Plaza in Sterling, Va.

A 33-year-old Herndon woman was loading  items from her shopping cart into her vehicle when a small pick-up truck drove past and bumped the woman's shopping cart, authorities said. The driver reached out of the vehicle window, snatched the woman's purse from the cart and fled the scene.

The vehicle in the incident is further described as light-colored, possibly a Nissan or Isuzu, with a small extended cab. Authorities have also released video that spots an unknown woman and  unknown man together prior to the purse being stolen.

If you have any information regarding the possible identity of the suspect or the whereabouts of the suspect vehicle, you are asked to contact Investigator C. Cunningham of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475. Those callers wishing to remain anonymous are asked to call Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. If the information leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
