Happy to Be in D.C.

A new study ranks D.C. as the happiest city in America, according to a study reported by WTOP.

Among the country's 52 largest cities, there's none happier than D.C., according to the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index.

Apparently the traffic doesn’t kill our spirit.

That ranking is based on certain happiness indicators, including clean lungs and clean teeth.  Eighty-five percent of people don’t smoke, and 72 percent go to the dentist.

Free museums, parks and monuments add to the rich cultural environment.

Rounding out the Top 5 after D.C. are Austin, San Jose, Seattle and San Francisco, WTOP reported.
