A maintenance worker was found dead early Monday morning at Point Lookout State Park.
A coworker found the body of Donald Lloyd Gothard, 56, at the base of a ladder in the wastewater treatment plant. Gothard, of Lusby, Md., was an employee of Maryland Environmental Services.
He logged in at the plant Sunday morning, but never return home after his shift ended. His wife then called the police, who labeled him "critically missing" due to medical issues.
Natural Resources Police investigators don't believe foul play was involved, but the medical examiner will perform an autopsy.
A Maryland Occupational Safety and Health inspector visited the scene Monday morning.
