Major Delays on Red Line Due to Disabled Train

Commuters on the Red Line were advised to anticipate delays of 30 to 40 minutes Monday night.

A disabled train near Farragut North slowed trains in both directions. Riders were advised to expect crowding.

Metro tweeted later Monday evening that the disabled train was being removed and Red Line trains headed in both directions were using a single track.

As of 6:45 p.m., the disabled train was off the tracks and trains were resuming their normal schedule. Delays and crowding continued.
