Detectives released surveillance video of the shooter in the slaying of Hollis Bradford Johnson Oct. 27.
Johnson, 36, was shot and killed just outside his apartment in the Fairmount apartment complex in Chillum, Maryland. He died at a local hospital.
Detectives do not believe the shooter knew Johnson.
Video shows the shooter walking toward the building while Johnson holds open the door.
Seconds after, he shot Johnson and ran from the building into a car, Prince George's County Police said. He sped from the scene in a light-colored, four-door sedan with tinted windows and halogen headlights.
Detectives believe there are citizens with critical information in this case and are asking for anyone with information to call 301-772-4925.
