The Federal Trade Commission is cracking down on debt collectors that allegedly harass consumers, making one company pay more than three million dollars in penalties.

It announced on Tuesday that Expert Global Solutions, the largest debt collector in the world, is being charged with violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the FTC Act. The company allegedly broke the law by calling consumers multiple times a day, calling early in the morning and late at night and calling even after being asked to stop.

If you feel that a debt collection company violated your rights, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission here.
