Death of Man Found After Crash Investigated as Homicide

The death of a man found at the scene of a car accident in Millersville, Maryland, is being investigated as a homicide.

Anne Arundel County police say officers were called to the 8300 block of Williamstowne Drive at 6:46 a.m. Monday for a single-vehicle accident.

When officers arrived, they found 46-year-old Seydou Alassane Ba dead in the driver's seat. Officials say because of the injuries he sustained, his death is being treated as a homicide.

Ba lived in Gaithersburg, about 45 miles away from where his body was found.

Ba received a Master's degree in computer science from George Washington University, according to his sister. A friend told News4's Pat Collins he made money by driving people.

The medical examiner's office will determine the exact manner and cause of death.

Anyone with information that can help police is asked to call Detective Kell Harding of the Homicide Unit 410-222-4743.
