Police are investigating a deadly hit and run collision in Prince George's County.

The Prince George's County police department is investigating a deadly hit and run.

It happened around 2:21 a.m. Saturday in the 5000 block of 38th Avenue in Hyattsville.

Police said when they arrived on the scene, they found Wilber Ramirez, 18, lying unconscious in the street.

Prince George’s County Fire and EMS personnel pronounced Ramirez dead at the scene.

Police said Ramirez was attempting to cross 38th Avenue and was struck by a vehicle in the southbound portion of the roadway. 

The vehicle continued southbound along 38th Avenue without stopping. 

Investigators are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed or may have been in the area at the time of the collision.
