D.C. Police Special Ops Officers on Alert Ahead of Ferguson Decision

News4 has learned MPD's Special Operations Division officers are on alert this weekend in the event a grand jury decides whether or not to seek criminal charges against Ferguson, Missouri police officer Darren Wilson.

These Special Ops officers, who often handle demonstrations and crowd control, have been informed pre-planned leave and vacation days for the upcoming weekend are being canceled.

More than three months have passed since the St. Louis area was rocked by riots and protests following 18-year-old MIchael Brown's shooting death.
