The Rosecroft Raceway in Prince George's County will re-open this week, but not everyone is happy about it.

The company Penn National Gaming bought the property for $11 million, and will re-open it on Thursday.

The Washington Post reports that the ministers and other members of the Collective Empowerment Group have sent a letter to Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley saying they are opposed to additional gaming in the county.  The group says it represent 150 churches.

The reopened raceway, will only feature simulcasts initially, but live racing will return in the fall.

The track closed last summer because of bankruptcy.
