D.C. Police Search for 7-Eleven Robbery Suspect

Authorities say the suspect told the 7-Eleven employee that he had a weapon under his shirt

DC police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect that robbed a 7-Eleven in the early hours of Thursday morning.

At approximately 1:52 a.m. Thursday, a man entered a 7-Eleven store located on the 2500 block of Benning Road northeast, according to police.

Authorities say the suspect told the 7-Eleven employee that he had a weapon under his shirt and ordered the employee to get on the floor.

The suspect took an unknown amount of cigarette packs and left the store.

He is described to be a light skinned black man in his 30s, about 5-feet-7 inches tall. The suspect was wearing a tan hat, green windbreaker jacket and glasses.

Police ask that anyone with knowledge of this case, knows the suspect’s identity or sees him, should take no action, but should immediately call police at 202-727-9099.
