D.C. Police have arrested a Southwest man and charged him with the killing of a Southeast man last October.

Investigators say that 21-year-old Demonte Michael Chappelle was arrested following a traffic stop early Saturday morning and charged with Murder Two While Armed in the death of 26-year-old Stevann Moorer this past October 27.

Moorer was found in the 500 block of Parkland Place, Southeast shortly after 9:00 p.m. that night. He was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
