D.C. Police Looking for “Person of Interest” in Fatal Stabbing

Reward being offered in the case

D.C. Police hope newly released surveillance video will help find a person of interest in a deadly stabbing.

It happened just before 2 a.m. May 1 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue NW. Officers initially responded to a report of a car accident and found 33-year-old Dwayne Brisbon suffering from stab wounds.

Investigators said Brisbon had been celebrating a recent promotion with coworkers that night. He worked at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

On his way home that night, he got into an argument with a man on the street, police said. That man stabbed Brisbon, who then crashed his car into a pole a block away while trying to drive to the hospital, police said.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the man in the video below to give them a call at (202) 727-9099. You can also send an anonymous text to 50411. Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 in the case.
