Man Shot, Killed Near D.C. High School Identified

D.C. Police say 22-year-old Charles M. Parrish was shot and killed near a high school late Monday night.

Crews responded to the 5400 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue NE around 10 p.m. There, they found Parrish suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The scene was less than a block away from H.D. Woodson High School on 55th Street NE.

A motive hasn't been released at this time.
