On Saturday, Debra Seals and police cadets canvassed the Northeast neighborhood where her son was shot and killed.

Back in April of 2008, Melvin Seals was killed during a rash of gang violence in the Trinidad area.

With no leads, his mom and police hope their door-to-door efforts will turn up some information about the teen's death

Extra police are on duty in the city this weekend because of games for the Capitals and Nationals, as well as Cinco de Mayo celebrations.

DC Police Chief Cathy Lanier says these “all hands on deck” weekends can help solve cold cases.

Seals simply wants justice for her son.
