Pedestrian Struck and Killed in DC

A man died after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Washington Tuesday afternoon.
The victim was hit near the intersection of New Jersey and New York avenues.
Investigators said the man apparently fell in front of a truck. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died.
The driver of the truck did remain on the scene. Police are still trying to figure out how the victim fell.
The next NBC Washington PNC Bank Community Shred is scheduled for June 16, 2012.
