One Struck By Commuter Train in Montgomery County

Pedestrian Killed by MARC Train

One pedestrian is dead Friday evening after being struck by a commuter train.

Police said the accident happened in Gaithersburg, near N. Frederick and Diamond Avenue.

The MARC train involved was traveling northbound.  Authorities have yet to release any information about the victim.

MTA says Brunswick trains are holding at Union Station due to the fatality.  MTA will provide buses for ridres between Rockville and Metro Grove.
