D.C. Mayoral Aides to Work Out of New Anacostia Office

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser is sending some of her top aides to work out of her new office east of the Anacostia River.

Bowser has pledged to bring more services to the long-neglected neighborhoods east of the river, where poverty and unemployment are much higher than in the rest of the District. She named a new deputy mayor who focuses on economic and job development in those parts of the city.

On Monday, Kevin Donahue, the deputy mayor for public safety, will work out of the new office in the Anacostia neighborhood. Donahue will also host a free CPR training class that's open to the public. City administrator Rashad Young will spend the day there on Wednesday.
