An attempted robbery turned deadly Tuesday after a store owner opened fire on a man demanding money.  Police said the suspect implied he had a weapon and a struggle took place.

An attempted robbery turned deadly Tuesday after a store owner opened fire on a man demanding money. Police said the suspect implied he had a weapon and a struggle took place.

A robbery at a Laurel, Md. Dunkin Donuts ended with a fatal shooting.

Police said that the 48-year-old owner of a coffee shop and gas station on Laurel Fort Meade Road shot a man trying to rob the store around 3:31 a.m Tuesday.

Anne Arundel County police said the investigation remains "very fluid."  According to investigators, the suspect, 29-year-old Josue Alberto Angel, walked into the business and announced a robbery.  The police said that the robbery suspect implied that he had a weapon.  A struggle ensued, and police said the robbery suspect was shot in the parking lot outside the Dunkin Donuts.

The suspect died of his injuries at Prince George's County Trauma.  Police have not yet released his identity.

No charges have been filed.
