D.C. Man Gets 20 Years for Fatally Shooting Stepson

A Washington man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for fatally shooting his stepson after an altercation in their home.

Ronald Page, 61, had been convicted of second-degree murder while armed in the death of 22-year-old Nicholas Satcher. Page was sentenced Friday in Superior Court in Washington.

According to the government's evidence, Page was in an argument with his 17-year-old son and picked up a chair to hit the youth. Prosecutors say Satcher stopped Page from hitting the teen, and Page got a gun and shot Satcher.
