Man Falls Down Shaft on Georgetown Campus

A man had to be rescued after falling 20 feet down a ventilation shaft on the Georgetown campus.

The accident happened on Monday morning at 9:40 a.m. near the Yates Field House.

Fire officials said the man was airlifted from Georgetown for treatment, with serious to potentially life-threatening injuries.  The person is not a student, according to authorities.
