Man Drowns at House Party in Upper Marlboro

Prince George's County police are investigating a drowning that occurred during a large house party in Upper Marlboro.

Police say 22-year-old Kevin Akinfeleye of Lanham drowned in a swimming pool early Sunday morning.

Cpl. Henry Tippett, a police spokesman, says there's no evidence at this point to indicate foul play. But homicide detectives are investigating, as is routine in such cases.

Several county police officers were working at the party, and police say their actions will be the subject of an internal investigation. Tippett says the party was attended by several hundred people.
