A D.C. man went to Tysons Corner Thursday believing he arranged to have sex with a minor, according to Manassas police.

Police arrested 29-year-old Diego Vicente Acevedo of 3355 16th Street NW without incident Thursday at an Embassy Suites Hotel.

Acevedo arranged to meet a minor for sex but had actually been communicating with an undercover detective, police said.

Acevedo is being held without bond and has a court date of Oct. 2 in Fairfax County.

The Northern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Virginia State Police and the FBI partnered with Manassas police in the month-long investigation.
