D.C. Man Arrested in Hagerstown Teen's Death

26-year-old Antonio Gardner charged with second-degree murder

A D.C. man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 17-year-old boy in Hagerstown.

Police say the teen was found on the sidewalk in the 100 block of West Franklin Street shortly before 11 p.m. Friday suffering from a stab wound to his chest. He was taken to Meritus Medical Center, where he died.

Police have arrested 26-year-old Antonio Gardner, of Northeast and charged him with second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

The victim's name was not immediately released Saturday.
