In hopes of preventing prisoners from placing wireless calls, the D.C. Jail will test a cell phone jammer Thursday, Tom Bridge reported on WeLoveDC.com.

The FCC is allowing a 30-minute test at some point between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to see if the jammer will in fact only affect phones inside the facility and not interfere with nearby cell phones outside the jail.
