The District ranked dead last out of 193 cities in the insurance company’s report, the seventh straight year it finished at the bottom of the study.

The study looks at insurance claims and reports of accidents.

They also studied the number of accidents against the national average, and D.C. has accidents 107 percent more than the average.

D.C. also has the country’s worst traffic, so that might contribute to the high number of accidents, Allstate said.

Other cities in our area didn’t fare much better.

Arlington ranked 180 out of 193, and Alexandria ranked 184.

On the other side, the best drivers reside in Fort Collins, Colo., which reports 29 percent fewer accidents than the national average.
