Fatal Crash in Prince William County

    An accident in Triangle claimed one life on Labor Day.

    A driver traveling along Joplin Road between mile markers 21 and 22 called police to report a vehicle in the trees.

    Police and rescue arrived on the scene and discovered a car flipped over in the wood line.  Two people were inside the car.  The driver, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The passenger, an adult woman, was transported via helicopter with serious injuries to an area hospital.

    Police responded to the crash at 11:40 a.m.  Drivers were urged to avoid the area.
