Duct Tape Wrapped Around Murder Victim's Head

A 61-year-old man was found dead inside an apartment in the Trinidad area in northeast D.C.

Glen Scarborough was discovered around 6 p.m. Sunday, police said, but they don't know how long he had been there. According to police, the man lived inside the basement apartment. Police didn't confirm if he was the victim of a home invasion. A police source tells News4 the man had been duct taped around his head.

Scarborough's 92-year-old father told NBC Washington's Pat Collins that the victim had missed his son's wedding in Baltimore Saturday. Scarborough's father spoke to Scarborough at about 10 p.m. Saturday and learned that he had been beaten and robbed but had said he was OK and didn't need to go to the hospital.

Police have not released the manner in which Scarborough died. Police had not reported recovering a weapon at the scene. Detectives are awaiting autopsy results.

Neighbors say the row house had been converted into separate living spaces and about four people lived there.

Police are looking for suspects.
