D.C. Court of Appeals Streaming Oral Argument Video

The D.C. Court of Appeals will, for the first time, stream video of an oral argument live online.

Members of the public have been able to listen to live audio of oral arguments at the court for some time. But Tuesday's argument will be the first time the court broadcasts a video live stream.

The entire eight-member court is participating in Tuesday's argument, which happens only a few times a year. The court usually hears arguments in three-judge panels.

The court plans to video stream future arguments before the full court and to expand the program to video of three-judge panels as resources allow.

The case the court is hearing Tuesday is an adoption case.

The public can watch the live stream beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m. at: http://east.streamguys.com/dcca3
