DC Cop's Death May Be Linked to Pizza Mart Murder

There were allegations that he helped murder suspect

A D.C. police detective's apparent suicide may be linked to the murder of a pizza shop owner in the District.

Sources tell NBCWashington that detective Terrence Green had recently been questioned in response to allegations that he given help to murder suspect Shanika Robinson.

According to WTOP, Green was romantically involved with Robinson and gave conflicting statements to officers when recently questioned.

Robinson, 26, has been charged in the death of Shahabuddin Rana, who owned a Pizza Mart on 4th Street, NE, and was found murdered there on Aug. 18.

Police found Green's body Thursday night in his mother's home in Forrestville, Md.

No charges had been filed against Detective Green.
