5 Adults, 2 Children Hurt After Car Cuts Off DC Bus Near Howard University

Five adults and two children have minor injuries after a car cut off a D.C. bus Monday morning near Howard University, officials say. 

Everyone who was hurt was riding the bus and is expected to be OK. 

According to the preliminary investigation, a 79 Metrobus was headed north on Georgia Avenue near Bryant Street NW when a car to the left of the bus made a right turn in front of the bus, a Metro representative said. The car and bus then crashed. 

The crash was reported about 11:45 a.m., the D.C. fire department says.
