Police arrested a music teacher at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax County.

Authorities said that Michael Cook, 43, had attempted to solicit a minor online.

The band director was arrested at his home in Centreville.  Detectives said the continuing investigation revealed the 15-year-old victim in the case did not go to Cook's school.

A biography posted on the Robinson Secondary School's website says Cook has a graduate degree in instrumental conducting and has led three student performance tours to Europe.  Before directing at Robinson, Cook was an educator in Maine.

The website also says Cook plays tuba in the Fairfax Wind Symphony.
