A man robbed an armored truck driver in Silver Spring on Monday morning, Montgomery County police said.
The robbery took place at the Bank of America at the 11-400 block of Columbia Pike.
According to authorities, when an armored truck's guard walked into the bank Monday morning, he was held up by a man carrying a gun. The robber took the guard's weapon, and then stole an undisclosed amount of money.
Nobody was injured. Police said the suspect fled by car. Bank customers are being questioned now by investigators.
