A new study by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics has two of the District’s airports among the worst when it comes to on-time flights.

The study looked at the departure and arrival times for 29 major airports.

Dulles International Airport is the ninth worst airport with 21 percent of its arriving flights arriving late and 20 percent of passengers experiencing delayed departures.

Reagan National was next on the list with 22 percent late arrivals and 18 percent late departures.

But these pale in comparison to Newark International Airport. Passengers there are delayed a third of time for arrivals, and 27 percent experience late takeoffs.
