Crews will be fixing the $2.6 billion highway that runs from I-370 in Shady Grove to I-95 in Prince George's County.
In the fall, inspectors found premature cracks on Intercounty Connector overpasses at Georgia Avenue, Emory Lane, Muncaster Mill Road and Needwood Road.
The state said there is no imminent safety concern. The repairs are being done as a precaution.
Repairs will last about six-to-eight weeks.
