Fiery Subaru Crash Leaves 2 Dead

Montgomery County Police are investigating a single car accident that left two people dead early Saturday, August 13, 2011.

Shorty before 12:30 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 15700 block of Holly Grove Road in the Cloverly area of Silver Spring for a report of a car fire. When units arrived on the scene, a silver Subaru was fully engulfed in flames.

An investigation revealed that the vehicle had been traveling north on Holly Grove Road when it struck a tree and caught fire. Once the fire was extinguished, the driver and passenger were found dead inside the vehicle.

Police are asking anyone with information relating to this collision to contact the Montgomery County Police Collision Reconstruction Unit at 301-840-2435.
