Prince George's County authorities closed a stretch of the Capital Beltway after a fatal crash.

A car went over the right guardrail, killing one person on the Inner Loop of Interstate 495 just before the St. Barnabas Road exit in Oxon Hill, Md., Wednesday afternoon, fire department spokesman Mark Brady said.

Officials closed two lanes of the Inner Loop to allow emergency vehicles and state police to remove the body, Brady said. Authorities expect heavy congestion in the area because of the closures.
