Cemetery Worker Pleads No Contest to Killing Wife, Burying Her in Cemetery

A Virginia man has pleaded no contest to charges that he killed his wife and buried her in a cemetery.

Online court records show that Adan Quiroz Rodriguez pleaded no contest last week to first-degree murder and concealing a body. He also pleaded no contest to a weapons charge.

Officers began investigating the disappearance of Rodriguez's wife, Ashley Rodriguez, in May 2013 after she didn't show up for work, reported the Roanoke Times. They found her remains in Allegany (Va.) Memorial Park in a part of the cemetery that was only accessible to employees.

Police have said Adan Rodriguez worked at the cemetery.

Rodriguez is scheduled to be sentenced July 15 in Alleghany County Circuit Court.
