Court of Appeals Disbars Jack Johnson

Former Prince George’s County executive facing jail time

The Maryland Court of Appeals disbarred former Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson.

The court issued the disbarment order Friday.

Johnson was sentenced to more than seven years in prison last month for extorting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes from developers and accepting assorted gifts.

Johnson was the county executive from 2002 until 2010.
