A New York couple is charged with prostituting a 17-year-old girl in Prince William County, Va.

The victim was a runaway from California.

Marc Brickhouse, 32, is charged with abduction with intent to defile, pandering, and causing a person to enter a bawdy place.

Julie Ann McKenna, 21, is charged with pandering and causing a person to enter a bawdy place.

The suspects were working out of a hotel along the Prince William Parkway for about a month, police said. The victim escaped from the hotel room earlier this week and ran into a toy store for  help.

The victim ran away from home in December, according to police. She was assisted in getting to New York from California by McKenna, an acquaintance. In New York, McKenna and Brickhouse started prostitutiing the victim before moving her to Prince William County, police said.

Both suspects are being held without bond.
