A supply of counterfeit Polo Ralph Lauren shirts worth almost $16,000 was confiscated at Washington Dulles International Airport July 14, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said in a statement.

The shirts arrived from Pakistan June 29, and CBP detained the shipment after learning that the person receiving it was not allowed to import Polo shirts. The shirts were supposed to be delivered somewhere in Northern Virginia, CBP said in the statement.

If the shirts were authentic, they would be worth $15,582, the statement said.

CBP said it seizes $3.7 million of products that violate Intellectual Property Rights each day across the 328 ports in the U.S.
