Convenience Store Crime Spree Caught on Camera

Gunmen hold up 4 stores in 2 days

D.C. police released surveillance video of at least three culprits in a violent armed robbery spree.

The robbers carried out four robberies in a two-day period.

The first robbery happened Sunday just after 2 a.m. at a 7-Eleven at 950 Division Ave. NE. Police said three men entered the store. One jumped the counter, while the others ordered customers to the ground. The cashier was robbed at gunpoint.  The suspects got away in a dark-colored vehicle.

The second robbery  happend at a 7-11 at 2501 Benning Road, NE, about two hours later.

That same store was also the scene of the third robbery Monday morning. The gunmen entered the store about 6 a.m. A customer also was robbed in that incident.

About a half hour later, a Shop Express at 3900 Benning Road NE became the scene of the fourth robbery.

Police said the suspects wear masks during the robberies. They're considered armed and dangerous and police are asking anyone who sees or knows them to contact them.
