Coast Guard IDs 2 Who Died When Vessel Capsized

The U.S. Coast Guard is identifying two Maryland men who died when a catamaran capsized about 30 miles northeast of Ocean City. Two other men were rescued.

The Coast Guard says the two men who died were 57-year-old William Gogel of Baltimore and 57-year-old Fredy Fabricio-Castro of Silver Spring.

A boater reported the capsized 28-foot catamaran early Monday. A helicopter aircrew from the Coast Guard Air Station in Atlantic City, N.J., arrived and recovered the bodies of Gogel and Fabricio-Castro. Another boat rescued two 55-year-old men, who are not being identified at this time.

The survivors were taken to a Coast Guard Station in the Indian River Inlet in Delaware.

The Coast Guard says an investigation into the accident is active and ongoing.
